Registered Dental Hygienist
West Chester OH

Full Time - Monday - Thursday (optional Friday available). One day per week is accelerated with an assistant.
Compensation: $40-$46 per hour or 30% of net production whichever is Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient oral health and requirements through screening methods including medical history review dental charting and periodontal charting
• Provide direct patient care following standard dental hygiene protocols
• Measure and record patient vital signs
• Conduct standard treatments such as scaling and polishing
• Obtain diagnostic x-rays as needed by the dentist for treatment planning
• Administer sealants and fluoride treatments
• Maintain electronic patient records
• Document dental history and primary complaint
• Note and communicate relevant clinical observations
• Educate patients on preventing tooth decay and gum disease via proper nutrition and home oral care
• Clean and sterilize instruments
• Prepare treatment plan as directed by the dentist
• Discuss treatment plan and related fees with the patient
• Clearly relay patient concerns to the dentist
• Serve as primary treatment coordinator
• Perform additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be dependable
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene certificate or associate degree program with active North Carolina hygienist license
• Capable of independent thinking and sound judgment
• Able to develop influence interpret and/or apply operational procedures
• Demonstrates a team-oriented approach to responsibilities
• Shows initiative reliability and punctuality
• Handles frequent detail-focused repetitive tasks
• Adapts flexibly to different assignments with a positive attitude
• Follows instructions and takes ownership of actions
• Maintains strict confidentiality with patients and their care
• Reads and understands documents such as safety rules procedure manuals and written communication
• Interprets instructions in written verbal diagram or schedule formats
