Job Summary
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta serving the educational needs of approximately 17750 students in 43 schools. EIPS is recruiting a part-time (0.857 FTE) Senior High Social Studies Teacherat Bev Facey Community High.
Bev Facey Community High serves approximately 1080 students in grades 10 to 12 with 58 teaching staff and 20 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park AB.
Bev Facey Community Highs many programs foster a culture of acceptance support fair play and excellence. Academics athletics fine arts CTS programs as well as leadership opportunities all give students the opportunity to achieve excellence.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Previous experience teaching the outlined classes an asset
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe supported and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
