Job Description:

Aerojet-Rocketdyne an L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a highly motivatedexperienced Structures/Machinist Technician. Duties include producing parts components and final assemblies using metal fabrication modification checkout re-work quality testing and assembly utilizing detailed work instructions schematics diagrams layouts or manufacturing test development or diagnostic equipment. This position is located in Orlando FL.

Essential Functions:

Interprets blueprints sketches and engineering specifications.
Operation of various machinery and shop equipment.
Fabrication and assembly of piece parts into completed sub-assemblies using a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Make shop calculations.
Works with management and supervision to meet critical deadlines.
Troubleshoot processes and identify modify and/or escalate out of control processes and production escapes.
Coordinate with maintenance supervision and/or engineers in the set-up and calibration of equipment.
Participate in preventative maintenance activities.
Clean machines equipment and work area according to Standard Operating Procedures
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum 4 years of prior manufacturing experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Prior aerospace industry experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Requires a specialized level of knowledge in the assembly of flight hardware.
Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
Must have good oral and written communications skills.
Moderate computer skills desired
