As a Security Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls team youserve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse circumvention and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives
Job responsibilities
- Design build test and deploy Core Java web applications across development testing and production environments.
- Collaborate with product owners to gather requirements and architect secure scalable solutions; deliver new features in agile two-week sprint cycles.
- Conduct security validation optimize performance and apply software engineering best practices; provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed applications (DevOps).
- Create enterprise-level applications including RESTful microservices using Java Spring Spring Boot ORM frameworks Oracle and NoSQL databases.
- Automate deployment and infrastructure pipelines for both on-premises and public cloud platforms.
- Develop unit and integration tests with JUnit Cucumber and Mockito; produce software documentation and operational runbooks.
- Implement platform observability and reporting and manage production support activities.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Experience working in Java Spring and Spring boot frameworks
- Hands on experience working on relational/NoSql databases SQL and ORM technologies (JPA hibernate etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented concepts analysis and design using common design patterns
- Experience developing security engineering solutions
- Proficient in coding in one of more languages
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD application resiliency and security
