Inviting applications for the role of General Ledger -Manger - English -Hybrid- Cairo.
In this role you will lead and empower accounting team ensuring accurate ledger management reconciliations and financial reporting through collaboration and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) operations including General Ledger Fixed Assets Intercompany and Financial Reporting processes across multiple entities and geographies.
Oversee and ensure timely and accurate month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes including journal entries accruals and adjustments in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
Drive the preparation review and analysis of monthly quarterly and annual Balance Sheets Income Statements and Cash Flow Statements ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives and regulatory standards.
Lead KPI tracking and performance reviews delivering insights and recommendations to senior leadership and clients to support strategic decision-making.
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals fostering a high-performance culture through coaching development plans and performance management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client relationship management ensuring service excellence addressing escalations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A Tax Treasury and Compliance to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting.
Lead process optimization and automation initiatives leveraging AI tools and ERP enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Lead internal and external audit engagements ensuring timely and accurate data provisioning issue resolution and compliance with audit requirements.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field; Masters degree or MBA is a plus.
Minimum years of progressive experience in General Ledger and R2R operations with minimum years in a managerial or team lead capacity.
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) including financial modules reporting tools and workflow automation.
Strong knowledge of IFRS GAAP and local statutory requirements with proven experience in applying accounting standards to complex business scenarios.
Excellent command of English (minimum B2 level) with strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Professional certifications such as CPA ACCA CMA or equivalent are highly desirable.
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams managing performance and driving employee engagement.
Proven experience in client-facing roles with the ability to build trust manage expectations and deliver value-added insights.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset and the ability to interpret financial trends and variances.
Experience in process transformation automation and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
Proficiency in additional languages (e.g. French) is an advantage in a global delivery environment.
