Your Role

As a Consultant at VIPAS AB youll work as a control Application Engineer within Power Quality you will beresponsible for the control functionality of FACTS devices in high-impactdelivery projects. You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecyclefrom design and implementation toverification and commissioningandcollaborate with experts across multiple engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design &Development Design implement and verify power control algorithms and logicfor FACTS devices.
• Createmodify debug test and deploy control algorithms.
• Design andtest control logic including PI/PID or similar control algorithms.
• Applyfunction block programming techniques.
• Testing& Verification Perform combined testing of control system software andhardware.
• Conduct Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing using real-timesimulators.
• Preparecustomer submittals and test procedures.
• Participatein factory acceptance tests and provide technical support.
• Collaboration& Customer Interaction Work closely with SCADA HMI Network CyberSecurity and other engineering teams.
• Understandcustomer needs by reviewing specifications and participating in meetings.
• Maintainextensive contact with engineering groups lead engineers and customers.

Requirements:

• Understandingof FACTS applications.
• Knowledge ofcontrol theory and power electronics.
• Experiencewith simulation tools such as MATLAB or real-time simulators.
• Familiaritywith signal processing active/reactive power concepts is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSc or MScin Engineering with specialization in Control Systems Power Systems AutomaticControl Theory Software Engineering or similar.
• Fluent inEnglish; Swedish is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Experiencewith MACH system is a plus.
• Ability towork independently and in teams with a strong sense of responsibility.
