Job Summary and Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Rehab Therapy Aide to provide essential support to our licensed Physical Therapists Occupational Therapists Speech-Language Pathologists Therapeutic Recreation Specialists and Rehab this vital role you will be an integral part of our patient care team helping individuals of all ages from pediatric to geriatric on their journey to recovery and improved well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a rehabilitation setting and develop their clinical skills under the direct supervision of experienced professionals.
- Prepare patients for treatment sessions which may include assisting with transfers positioning and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
- Assist clinicians with various treatment interventions as directed such as setting up and monitoring equipment providing hands-on support and facilitating exercises.
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks including scheduling appointments managing patient records answering phones and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
- Observe patient responses during treatment and promptly report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Adhere to all facility policies procedures and safety guidelines.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum six month experience as a PT aide or other experience in health care services required.
- Some college experience and background in basic science preferred.
- AHA BLS card
- Fire Safety card within 90 days of hire.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
