Position Summary:

As a Surgery Controller youll play a key role in coordinating surgical schedules and ensuring smooth communication between departments physicians and clinical staff. This position requires strong attention to detail multitasking and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

What Youll Do:

• Maintain accurate daily and future surgery schedules
• Coordinate with anesthesia charge nurses and physician offices for scheduling and updates
• Compile call schedules and assist with high-volume phone communications
• Relay time-sensitive information to staff departments and vendors
• Notify staff of early starts and assignment changes
• Communicate equipment and supply needs for special procedures
• Ensure schedules align with staffing equipment and supply availability
• Support departmental flow and problem-solving across units

What Youll Need:

• High School Diploma required; Medical Office Administration Certificate or higher preferred
• 2 years of experience in surgery scheduling or acute care setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and computer systems
• Excellent organizational communication and time management skills
• Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations
