This is either a 2nd or 3rd shift role
You will be located onsite in Oak Creek WI and report to the S&T Customer Development Expert. PPG offers excellent medical dental and vision benefits; matching 401k and retirement benefits; and paid holidays and vacation.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all PPG safety protocols and encourage a broad safety culture in a laboratory work environment
- Collaborate in a team-oriented environment by supporting team members and engagement initiatives
- Support product development by preparing laboratory quantities of paint applying coatings to appropriate substrate and performing testing
- Maintain an accurate neat notebook. Document all observations including unusual results communicating results and observations to direct supervisor as required
- Drive through accomplishing tasks as scheduled. Accept and implement feedback
- Act consistently with The PPG Way daily
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required with completed coursework in chemistry and algebra
- 0 to 3 years of experience in a Technical or Quality Control lab environment
- Basic proficiency with technology and computing
- Proactive and strong work ethic
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
