POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cybersecurity Analyst III performs advanced (senior-level) information security analysis work. Work involves overseeing planning implementing and monitoring security measures for the protection of information systems and infrastructure. This role may supervise the work of others. Cybersecurity Analyst III works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Typically performs governance risk assessments and compliance related tasks and projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Directs and/or performs duties aligning to software governance and review. Participates on the committee and approves or denies software.
- Directs and/or performs the compliance requirements for a number of security frameworks and regulations such as CCPA HIPPA PCI C-TPAT NIST CIS Controls.
- Performs and makes improvements to security policies and programs such as privilege user remote access and telecommuting acceptable use information security policy and others.
- Performs contractor and access management audits ensuring alignment with policies and actual procedures.
- Supports overall GRC architectural and strategic focus as well as identify areas for improvement.
- Directs and sets strategic direction for vendor risk management program.
- Directs and sets strategic direction for our risk management and security assessments.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors Degree in Cyber Security
- Preferred Degree: Masters Degree in Cyber Security
- Certificate(s) or License(s) Preferred: Security Certification CISSP
- Years of experience: Seven to 10 years
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Prior experience in Information Security compliance GRC and related fields.
- Ability to collaborate influence others and set strategic direction.
- Experience with penetration testing and techniques.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
- Ability to investigate and mitigate intrusion prevention system anomalies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

- Regular computer work and sitting
- Occasional walking and standing
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
- Performs duties within scope of general company policies procedures and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies procedures and practices.
