This is a hybrid role based out of one of the following locations. Newtown Square PA - Houston TX - Chicago IL - Alpharetta is 3 days a week oniste 2 days a week remote.

RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud the private edition is one of the key deployment options for our customers cloud transformation. It provides our customers with a comprehensive cloud infrastructure and managed service offerings that are an essential part of the overall cloud strategy of SAP. This enables customers to safeguard their existing SAP ERP investment while benefiting from a new level of flexibility tailoring the software to meet their specific needs retaining company-specific configurations and customizations of their SAP ERP system and accessing the latest capabilities that give their company a competitive advantage.

Under RISE with SAP SAP allows customers to run their SAP S/4 HANA and other SAP applications in a managed private cloud environment in SAPs datacenters IaaS Hyperscalers SAP Premium Suppliers or in customers existing datacenters. SAP has established strategic partnerships with the major cloud infrastructure providers including Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to offer customers maximum choice for their SAP private cloud deployment.

The Digital Cloud Advisory Team is part of the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services organization. We seek highly motivated and customer-focused team members within this teamto strengthen the Digital Cloud Architecture & Advisory team (DCAA) in NA. The Cloud Architect Advisor works predominantly in the pre-sales phase as a subject matter expert acting as the primary point of contact for all technical topics related to the private cloud deployment from a customer perspective. It works closely with all the other internal SAP teams to prepare customers for success on their cloud journey under RISE with SAP.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

This is a customer-facing role in which you will support the sales teams during the entire cycle of a Cloud deal. The following are the essential tasks that this role will perform:

1. Present in detail technical and operational aspects of the RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud private edition offering including respective managed service offerings (usually to CIOs IT managers data center managers and SAP Technology staff)
2. Present the technical requirements and value proposition for SAP private cloud on SAP Data Centres Premium Suppliers and Hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
3. Conduct technical assessment workshops with customers to define the future cloud architecture and plan the migration roadmap with partners System Integrators and/or SAP Professional Services.
4. Guide customers on non-functional capabilities such as Business Continuity Cybersecurity & Compliance Networking Technical Operations and service consumption.
5. Work on Pricing using tools such as Quote Tool Configurator etc.
6. Work with other teams within the Customer Success board area to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
7. Own the technical discussions with the customer and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services delivery organization as required.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science Business Administration required from an accredited university.
• High proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required.
• High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio offerings and industry solutions.
• Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases platform interdependencies etc.)
• Good understanding of operational aspects (Application and Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
• Good understanding of the entire platform stacks (storage virtualization hardware networks etc.)
• Good understanding of technical capabilities of at least one Hyperscale provider (AWS MS Azure or GCP) certifications are a must.
• Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects
• Willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice.
• Fluency in English; any other language is an asset (Portuguese and French are preferred).

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 8 years of customer facing SAP Consulting experience.
• 8 years of solution design enterprise architecture and/or SAP implementation.
• Experience in a customer facing pre-sales role is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP BTP IaaS Providers (AWS MS Azure or GCP) SAP Premium Suppliers and/or data centers is a big advantage.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance expertise is an advantage.
• SAP Application Lifecycle Management and or SAP Operations experience is an advantage.
• ITSM Service Design & Delivery experience is an advantage.
• SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills are an advantage.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 137300 - 294000 (USD) actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skillsexperience scope ofthe role location etc. as determinedthrough theselection process.
