What Youll Do:
- Build trusting positive relationships and align individual needs with their goals.
- Act as a passionate advocate empowering individuals to advocate for themselves.
- Identify opportunities for greater independence in work-related tasks.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and to employer standards.
- Assist individuals in adhering to workplace policies to promote maximum independence.
- Utilize adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
- Collaborate with the Abound team and external parties (case managers VR counselors parents etc.).
- Provide off-the-job support such as practicing tasks arranging transport and offering counseling.
- Contribute to a team atmosphere by sharing ideas and embracing feedback.
- Maintain schedules monitor health and safety and complete accurate timely documentation.
- Engage in initial and ongoing training and staff development.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid drivers license current automotive insurance and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass criminal record driving record and healthcare registry checks.
- Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
- Lifting may be required depending on client needs.
