Short Description

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) assists with patients activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports healthcare team patients and/or patients family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.

Overview

Pavilion 9 is a 30-bed cardiac medical/surgical and cardiac intermediate unit. Pavilion 9 staff care for complex cardiac patients including cardiac surgery patients structural heart (TAVR) cardiac catheterization/coronary angioplasty heart failure and other various cardiac processes. The Pavilion 9 nurses receive specialized training to care for our cardiac surgery populations.

Experience Required

0-2 years experience required.

Education Requirements

High School/GED required.

License/Certification Requirements

  • AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Successful completion of an unlicensed health care provider/ technician program required.
  • Completed at least one fundamental nursing course in an accreditedNursingProgramrequired.
  • 1 year or more patient care experience in a similar rolerequired.

Special Requirements

  • At least one of the above qualifications/certifications must be met for hire.
  • Communication Ability to communicate with patients visitors and coworkers required.
  • Successful phlebotomy/EKG competency must be completed during orientation required.
