Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator assists the Material Control Manager with material planning and manages external suppliers to meet production schedules and quality requirements. Also serves as a backup to Customer Service ensuring customer satisfaction by assisting our current Customer Service Team with responsibilities related to data entry customer complaints and coordinating expedites. Pay Rate:$22.80-$34.20 Key Responsibilities: - Plan and prioritize material flow to outside processing vendor to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Collaborate with quality control warehouse supervisor and other staff
- Coordinates with Purchasing inventories maintenance engineering and other support functions as needed
- Coordinates monthly inventory reporting with outside suppliers.
- Works to minimize freight costs by following a planned trucking routine to maximize product flow to each outside processing agent.
- Timely replies to both internal and external emails
- Act as the backup to internal first point contact for all customer complaints or concerns typically involving quality and delivery issues.
- Enter data into internal systems (e.g. PLEX) regarding customer contacts shipping instructions order entry replacement orders planning and forecasts.
- Enter and update ASNs in customer databases or websites after shipments.
- Share responsibility for resolving customer issues by coordinating with internal departments such as Quality Sales Engineering and Production.
- Coordinate expedited or special freight or handling issues balancing customer expectations and minimizing expenses.
- Enter data into internal systems (e.g. PLEX) regarding customer contacts shipping instructions order entry replacement orders planning and forecasts.
Education and Experience: - Minimum of one year of customer service or planning experience.
- Understanding of business accounting receivables collections and order entry processes.
Essential Skills: - Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems. Working knowledge of Plex would be helpful
- Good at math and statistics
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Human relations skills are required to collaborate with customers outside suppliers and translate operating needs and requirements into daily routine to meet customer requirements.
Attributes: - Strong problem-solving skills to address issues where established procedures may not exist.
- Ability to work effectively in team settings requiring group problem-solving and collaboration.
