Job Summary
An excellent opportunity has become available for an HTS Operator to assess employees heat tolerance and physical fitness for working safely in high-temperature environments.
Requirements:
- Grade 12/ Std 10/ NQF Level 4 (Essential)
- Certificate: HTS Supervisor (CSIR Mining Tech)
- Valid Fist Aid Certificate
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a mining environment
- At least 2 years of experience and exposure to HTS procedures
- Identify and verify employees presenting for HTS to prevent fraudulent activity.
- Conduct health assessment to recognize disorders that may lead to HTS rejection.
- Perform fitness tests for employees exposed to WB temperatures above 27.5
- Measure body mass temperature and blood pressure of employees.
- Monitor employees during HTS procedures to ensure correct stepping and response.
- Maintain hygiene of all equipment (e.g. towels thermometers and clothing).
- Capture accurate test data into the SAP system.
- Supervise employee recuperation including shower and recovery procedures.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of safety and testing equipment.
- Monitor and regulate temperature ranges in testing and rest areas according to CSIR standards.
