About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to support and enhance national defence capabilities through expert security assessments training and technical project management. This role is critical to ensuring the protection of Defence assets personnel and facilities across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Security Advisory & Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments across Defence environments
- Provide strategic security advice to stakeholders on physical personnel and information security
Training & Capability Development
- Design and deliver Defence security training programs for personnel at all levels
- Support the development of security awareness and compliance across Defence units
Facility Security Management
- Oversee facility security planning implementation and compliance with Defence standards
- Coordinate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure secure environments
Technical Security Project Management
- Lead specialist security projects including technical implementations and upgrades
- Manage cross-functional teams and contractors to deliver secure solutions on time and within scope
Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive experience in Defence or Government security operations
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks risk management and compliance standards
- Proven ability to deliver security training and facilitate learning outcomes
- Experience in technical project management within secure environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications in security management project management or Defence-related disciplines
