In Asia Pacific ING offers wholesale banking across 13 markets namely Australia China Hong Kong SAR India Indonesia Japan Malaysia the Philippines Singapore South Korea Taiwan Thailand and Vietnam.

Singapore is the regional headquarters for INGs Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia and includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets Sectors Lending Capital Markets & Advisory and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Financial Institutions Team do in ING

INGs Financial Institutions (FI) sector combines relationship management multi-product sales and structured lending for Bank and Non-bank Financial Institutions (NBFI). NBFI clients include sovereign wealth funds insurance companies pension funds securities companies and alternative and traditional asset managers.

What would you be doing

• Work closely with the FI Coverage Trade Finance product sales teams.

• Assist with origination efforts including briefing memos client mapping research and pitch presentations.

• Assist with portfolio management including customer due diligence transaction management and client monitoring.

• Prepare communication for various internal stakeholders including account plans pipeline tracking transaction status and other portfolio updates.

• Assist with KYC matters (both internal and external stakeholders)

• Monitor information and news services on client base and share client/sector developments with the team

• Support the FI Trade finance team with account management duties such as logging trade finance transactions transactional due diligence and transaction execution.

• Assist in compiling data pricing grid updates and Trade finance portfolio analysis.

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

Qualification:

• 2nd to final year undergraduate with a demonstrated interest in banking and finance.

Skills & Competencies:

Basic understanding of how a wholesale bank operates and its business model.

Ability to work within deadlines with limited supervision and a high level of initiative.

Willingness to learn and contribute meaningfully to the team and the bank as a whole.

Ability to communicate clearly with fluent spoken and written English.

Proficient in the use of Excel Word and PowerPoint.
