This role is site based in the village of Inchinnan Scotland UK. You will join our dynamic team at Thermo Fisher Scientific where we strive to maintain a flawless operation and world-class standards.
In the position of Industrial Engineer II you will be tasked with streamlining production processes and enhancing efficiency contributing significantly to our ambitious projects. Engage with diverse departments to seamlessly integrate innovative solutions!
Analyze production processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Develop and implement process optimization strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work procedures.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement lean manufacturing initiatives.
Assist in the development and maintenance of production schedules.
Build and optimise facility layouts and production cells.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (important metrics) to supervise progress and identify areas for improvement.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Support the implementation of new technologies and automation solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Prepare reports and documentation related to process improvements and project outcomes.
Education
HND minimum
Industrial Engineering or related field degree is preferred
Demonstrated ability in industrial engineering or a similar position
Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g. Minitab Excel)
Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools preferred
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word and other relevant software).
This position requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment including standing walking and working with machinery. You must be able to adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
