Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF youll experience one-on-one mentorship work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential professional development opportunities and the chance to network with executives.

Summary of Role:

We are seeking high-potential Electrical Engineering students to join our team as Summer 2026 interns. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic semiconductor environment working on real-world projects that impact next-generation technologies. Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers across various teams. While the specific manager and project assignments will be determined closer to the start date projects may include:

  • Circuit design and analysis
  • Power distribution and reliability
  • Semiconductor device characterization
  • Process improvement and yield optimization
  • Automation and test development

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Apply electrical engineering principles to solve technical challenges in semiconductor manufacturing and design.
  • Analyze data troubleshoot issues and propose innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals.
  • Document findings and present results to stakeholders.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Securityrequirementsand programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or a related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
  • Strong academic performance and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with circuit theory electronics and basic programming (Python MATLAB or similar).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace school projects competitions etc.
  • Project management skills i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
