What you will do
Receive service calls from Service Resource Center including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions. Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercialindustrialand residential applications. These include but are not limited to wet (steel copper and CPVC) dry pre-actiondelugeand fire pumps.
How you will do it
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals part manuals change notices and bulletins modification notices order todiagnose and repair equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints diagrams submittals specifications software/systems programsschematicsand operational product manuals.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service with strong organizational skills positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly.
Must have the ability to work alone.
What we look for
Required
7-10 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customerrequirements
Overnight travel may berequired
Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customerneeds
Must adhere to implement and follow safety guidelines and procedures at alltimes
Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets companyrequirements
Follow verbal and writteninstructions
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilings etc.
Must be able to follow read and understand all safety requirement of the company and thecustomer
Preferred
NICET Level II certification is aplus
Backflow certification is an asset
$24 - $30 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experience knowledge
skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity location and alignment with market data.) This position
