Within Thermo Fisher Scientifics Specialty Diagnostics group the Microbiology Division (MBD) operates as one of the companys global divisions. It is a world-leading manufacturer of culture media and other microbiological diagnostic products used in clinical food and pharmaceutical laboratories. The division has over 2000 employees across the Americas Europe and Asia generating approximately $600M in revenue. Primary global sites are located in Basingstoke UK and Lenexa Kansas USA with 10 other manufacturing sites across Europe the UK and Asia along with multiple distribution centers. These facilities are all part of a global supply chain that serves customers worldwide.
This commercial leadership position leads all aspects of MBD growth and strategy throughout North America including corporate clients global partners inside sales and distribution channels. The role partners with MBD sales product management finance marketing and Thermo Fisher corporate account teams to identify and implement high-impact product category and field-based initiatives. This role involves overseeing the growth objectives for the divisions offerings in North America. Additionally it will improve initiatives concerning fresh product introductions sector segment tactics vital clientele and on-field cooperation endeavors within the region.
