Job Summary

Nuveen Real Estate is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Retail Sector team as an Acquisitions Analyst in New York. This individual will support senior deal team leaders across the Northeast Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions with additional exposure to transactions nationwide. The Analyst will play a key role in underwriting and evaluating shopping center acquisition opportunities contributing to investment strategy and supporting the full lifecycle of real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Underwriting & Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions including cash flow projections sensitivity analyses and return metrics.
  • Investment Memos: Draft clear concise and compelling investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market and submarket analysis including demographic trends competitive landscape and tenant performance.
  • Due Diligence & Closing Support: Assist in coordinating due diligence efforts including reviewing leases third-party reports and legal documentation. Support closing processes and transaction execution.
  • Cross-Regional Support: Provide analytical and strategic support to deal teams across other regions as needed
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with acquisitions asset management leasing and finance teams to ensure alignment and execution of investment strategies.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 13 years of experience in real estate acquisitions brokerage investments or finance; retail sector experience strongly preferred.

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Real Estate Economics or related field
  • Proficiency in Argus and Excel-based financial modeling is required.
  • Strong quantitative skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Base Pay Range: $68100/yr - $97000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience time in role base salary of internal peers prior performance business sector and geographic addition to base salary the competitive compensation package may include depending on the role participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example annual discretionary incentive programs non-annual sales incentive plans or other non-annual incentive plans).
