Job Summary:

The Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work is hiring for one lecturer position to teach the following course during the 2026 spring semester in the full-time Master of Social Work Program (MSW):

Social Work 636 Social Work in American Indian communities: The Indian Child Welfare Act

In this role you can expect to:

  • Prepare an approved course syllabus in the context of the Schools curriculum design and in light of any accreditation parameters.

  • Hold regularly scheduled office hours.

  • Construct conduct and grade appropriate course assignments (exams papers quizzes etc.)

  • Invited (advised) to attend faculty meetings with voice but no vote.

Compensation:

The typical starting salary for this full-time position is $16700 which is prorated from a full-time 9-month annual salary of $50000 and may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of two years post MSW practice experience and expertise in the Indian Child Welfare Act

Preferred Qualifications:

Record of excellence in teaching courses in the subject area and/or related work experience

Education:

Master of Social Work (MSW) required
