Position Summary

ABM is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join our Austin branch team. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance troubleshooting repair and installation of commercial HVAC systems and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical expertise strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation service and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems including chillers rooftop units air handlers VAV systems and control systems.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical malfunctions in HVAC systems.
Conduct routine maintenance inspections and ensure compliance with ABM and client standards.
Lead or mentor junior technicians providing technical guidance and on-the-job training.
Document all work performed using ABMs digital service tools and maintain accurate records.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with customers and branch management regarding service updates repairs and recommendations.
Participate in on-call rotation as needed for emergency service coverage.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of commercial HVAC experience including installation maintenance and diagnostics.
EPA Universal Certification required.
Strong knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and controls.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
