JOB SUMMARYResponsible for organizing and implementing of many components of River Hospitals Development Department tasks such as: independently directing event planning and implementation oversight of donation tracking and acknowledgment coordination of key volunteers and assisting the Director with implementation of Capital Campaign and new development initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Management and implementation of fundraising events including sponsorships volunteers attendance financial tracking set up and acknowledgments.
- Oversight of annual and other donations to River Hospitals Development office including accurate tracking acknowledgment and donor follow up.
- Liaison effectively with committees and volunteers to leverage more effective outreach to community.
- Assist the Director of Development with tracking solicitation and recording of capital campaign prospects including assistance with written correspondence development of systems and procedures for acknowledgment and supporting campaign committee activities
- Assist the Director of Development with initiation of new development office activities including a major gifts program planned giving program and detailed annual giving funds.
- Review recommend and implement web-based and other technological solutions to facilitate the work of the development department including communications document access and records archiving.
- Liaison with marketing staff to maximize outreach efforts including web presence and functionality.
- Provide technical clerical and grant reporting support
- Assist with Donor Research organization and storage of information
- Performs other duties related to the goals of the Development Team as assigned
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATION LICENSURE- Associates Degree in area of specialty and/or 2-4 years of equivalent experience in field/ related area
- Experience with Microsoft Word Excel Power Point Access; Adobe software a plus
- Experience in working with boards and/or committees
- Solid understanding of not-for-profit organizational structures and challenges
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
