Position: Staff Chaplain
Location: Benton and Franklin Counties of Washington State
Type: Full Time
Anticipated Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm occasional evenings and weekends for on-call after-hours rotation.

Position Overview:
The Staff Chaplain at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy provides compassionate spiritual care and emotional support to hospice patients families and caregivers as well as contracted facilities their staff and the community while managing an active patient caseload.
Through Chaplain offers individualized spiritual assessments and interventions that address end-of-life grief and bereavement with sensitivity to diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
Additionally the Chaplain contributes to community crisis intervention and provides debriefings and support sessions for staff and community members.
This position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient-centered care while upholding the mission and values of Tri-Cities Chaplaincy
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A bachelors or masters degree in divinity theology psychology or a related discipline from an accredited school of higher education.
2. Demonstrated commitment to obtaining board certification as a chaplain with progress reviewed annually.
3. Ability to manage a patient caseload and work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
4. Completion of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) training or must be obtained within twenty-four (24) months of hire date.
5. Competency in Electronic Documentation.
6. Available to work evenings nights weekends and holidays as part of the on-call rotation.
9. This position is designated as safety-sensitive and will require pre-employment drug testing which includes cannabis testing in WA State.
10. Ability to report to assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent reliable attendance.
11. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license as driving is an essential function of this role. Must meet insurance eligibility requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ecclesiastical Endorsement.
2. One (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from a training site accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE).
3. Chaplaincy experience in hospice palliative care hospital or crisis ministry settings.
4. Experience in end-of-life care and crisis intervention.
5. Bilingual in Spanish and English with the ability to speak read write and communicate effectively in both languages.

Compensation
Hiring Range: $26.53-$36.07 per hour
Position Pay Range (or Salary Range): $26.53 - $39.80 per hour
Premiums:
$2.50/hour Weeknight
$2.25/hour Weekend day
$4.75/hour Weekend Night
$4.00/hour On Call Standby

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires depending on experience and qualifications.
Position Pay Range/Salary Range: The full pay range for this position from minimum to maximum based on role responsibilities and market rates.

Benefits

3. Policy Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and comply with agency policies procedures and practices.
4. Confidentiality: Protect patient and agency information per HIPAA guidelines. Only access information on a need-to-know basis.
5. Transportation: Maintain reliable personal transportation. Maintain a valid drivers license and vehicle insurance per state requirements.
6. Health Requirements: Satisfy state and agency health requirements by providing proof of immunization declinations or approved accommodations as applicable.
7. Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.

9. Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.
10. Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education policy reviews and training be designated deadlines.
