About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our workshop team in Burnie TAS. The role is 5/2 roster Monday to Friday. As the Workshop Supervisor you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the activities within the workshop. You willfacilitate assembly tasks as requiredassist with the developmentof plans forour Workshop inclusive of thecontinual improvement and maintenance of the standard work sheets and templates.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise the workshop

  • Coordinate the repair maintenance and fault diagnostic work on heavy duty plant equipment as per the appropriate site/client requirements

  • Conduct job safety audits as well as audits on customer machines

  • Coordinate the Pre-delivery of new units

  • Monitor projects / jobs to ensure compliance with costing and time schedules including bill of materials delivery schedules equipment and sequences of operation

  • Coordinate and assist in the processing of Warranty Claims

  • Work closely with the Workshop Supervisors Service Administrators and Planners to ensure efficient completion of jobs

About you:

In addition to the formal criteria below you will be self-motivated with a positive attitude. You will have exceptional leadership and customer relationship skills with well-developed communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the Mining industry (minimum 2 years)

  • Relevant trade qualification with minimum 5 years trade experience

  • Previous experience with the Sandvik product range is desirable

  • Experience or exposure to mine site operations including a sound understanding of mining process maintenance work management processes improvement processes

  • Able to work both as part of a team and autonomously with an organised approach to planning communication and time management.

  • Computer literacy with Microsoft 365 suite

  • Current and open C class drivers license

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical reference checks police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
