The Sr. Division Administrator Clinical provides comprehensive administrative oversight and leadership for the Nephrology Division. Working closely with the Division Chief Executive Director and other department leaders this role ensures the effective management of clinical research financial and other operational activities aligning with the Department of Medicine (DOM) and UHealth policies. Responsible for implementing the vision and plans of the Division Chief for the Division.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provides leadership in developing business strategies and tactics to support the goals of the division and overall Health Systems strategic plans for market growth and development.
  • Heads performance management processes and outcomes for employees and physicians.
  • Guides managers in developing skills in and implementation of performance management practices.
  • Supports professional development of the workforce.
  • Performs needs assessments to determine continuing education needs of staff.
  • Monitors staff and physician satisfaction.
  • Provides administrative oversight to the divisions practices supporting the employment of quality improvement processes.
  • Pursues the spread of best practice in operations consistent with overall network goals.
  • Directs the planning and strategic formation of the clinical programs goals.
  • Directs the development of policies and procedures for network-wide use in the clinical activities of the practices.
  • Analyzes and reviews financial and productivity reports.
  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to lead motivate develop and train others.
