Job Summary

Position Title: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Location: Sterling VA 20164
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:15 AM 3:40 PM
Contract Duration: 34 Weeks
Pay Rate: $20 $25/hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Personal Care Assistantfor an exciting job in Sterling VA.

Responsibilities:

Assist students with personal care needs including toileting feeding dressing and hygiene.
Support students during classroom activities transitions and mobility within the school.
Implement accommodations and behavior support plans in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Ensure student safety at all times both in and outside the classroom.
Provide assistance with lifting positioning and operating mobility equipment as needed.
Supervise and assist students during lunch recess and other school-related activities.
Document observations incidents and progress according to school protocols.
Collaborate with teachers therapists and school staff to foster independence and inclusion.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school district and state regulations.
Participate in staff meetings training sessions and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
Ability to assist with physical care and follow individualized medical or behavioral plans.
Strong communication skills with patience empathy and a team-oriented mindset.

Work Environment:

School-based setting (Grades 68).
Requires standing walking lifting and active participation throughout the day.
