This position supports maintenance operations across two DHA healthcare facility locations under the same service contract. While duties may occur at both NASWI and NS Everett the primary and routine work location for this role will be in Everett WA. Travel between facilities is required based on operational or emergency support needs.

Tessera is seeking a hardworking and organized Machinery Maintenance Mechanic with a positive attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on all building systems including HVAC boilers chillers air handlers pumps motors drives refrigeration systems and hydronic loops.
Inspect test troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical and plumbing systems including emergency generators chillers elevators pneumatic tube systems dental compressors medical vacuum systems and medical gas systems.
Maintain service and repair pumping systems (circulation sump condensate booster and vacuum pumps) ensuring operational reliability and leak-free performance.
Conduct PM and minor repairs on reverse osmosis (RO) water purification systems sterilizers/autoclaves and dental air/vacuum systems in accordance with manufacturer and hospital standards.
Respond to and complete work orders and emergency repair requests promptly and professionally.
Maintain life-safety fire alarm suppression emergency lighting and backup power systems; test and document results as required for compliance.
Perform general building maintenance tasks: carpentry painting drywall plumbing repairs doors/windows flooring and exterior maintenance.
Maintain and service interior building systems including ceiling tiles light fixtures HVAC filters ceiling grids partitions and furnishings.
Provide all personal hand tools up to 1-inch in size required for the job; all other tools and specialized equipment will be provided by Tessera.
Order parts tools and supplies as needed for assigned projects and repairs.
Participate in service order work as part of contractual obligations; must be available for occasional overtime or after-hours service orders throughout the year.
Maintain organized work areas ensure proper tool usage and follow housekeeping and safety standards.
Coordinate with outside contractors and specialty vendors for system shutdowns repairs and construction projects.
Ensure all work meets DHA Healthcare facility standards and complies with Joint Commission regulatory codes and accreditation requirements.
Participate in on-call rotation and support 24/7 operations including weekends or off-shift work when required.
Demonstrate a customer service focus working safely in patient-care areas minimizing disruption and following infection-control and safety protocols.
Maintain all safety and prescribed training.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year of building or facility maintenance experience required.
Exposure to high noise levels heat dust chemicals and confined environments may occur.
Must be available to work off-shifts weekends and participate in on-call emergency response rotations.
Required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses gloves hearing protection and respirators as needed.
Must follow all infection-control and life-safety procedures appropriate to a hospital environment.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.
