Being a Model Auditor at Nubank is different from being a traditional a digital bank driven by data Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence our audit function also embraces technology to assess risks predictively and continuously.

This position is fundamental to Nus success. You will be part of the Internal Audit team focusing on Financial Risks (Credit Market Liquidity and Capital). Your primary goal will be to provide assurance on Nubanks financial models

Youll be responsible for

Your main challenge will be to translate statistical and data concepts into auditable financial risks. Your activities will include:

Evaluating and critiquing risk models (including statistical and Machine Learning models) from their conception development and validation to their ongoing monitoring.
Applying your knowledge of mathematics and statistics to analyze the robustness performance and adherence of these models.
Executing audit tests using data analysis you will be expected to explore large volumes of data to identify risks biases or control failures.
Leading technical discussions with stakeholders (such as Data Scientists Engineers and the Risk team) and communicating audit findings clearly objectively and constructively (both verbally and in writing).
Preparing audit reports and following up on the implementation of action plans to remediate identified vulnerabilities.

We are looking for a person who has

Strong knowledge in mathematics and statistics and experience applying these concepts to analyze or build models (whether in data science credit finance or related fields).
Practical experience with data analysis. While you dont need to master a specific language (like Python or SQL) you must have experience in extracting manipulating and analyzing data to generate insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You know how to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to various audiences.
An analytical and problem-solving profile with strong critical thinking skills to break down complex problems and propose solutions.
Is organized and detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture.
Previous experience or knowledge in Internal Audit Internal Controls or Risk Management (especially Credit Risk or Market Risk) is a plus
Knowledge of the financial market credit products or fintechs is a plus
