Job Summary
Position Overview:
The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team on a contracted basis to cover a leave of absence beginning in February and concluding in August. The OT serves as a functioning member of the educational team with duties to include: screening evaluation educational programs transition planning therapeutic intervention and exit planning for students identified with or suspected of having disabilities that interfere with school performance.
Hourly Rate: $45.51
Base Location: Greene Township Building
Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM
Required Qualifications:
- PA Licensure in Occupational Therapy
Essential Functions:
- Work with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student occupational performance strengths and needs through evaluation educational program planning and service delivery.
- Evaluates the students ability and formulates the students occupational profile through a variety of functional behavioral and standardized assessments skilled observation checklists histories and interviews.
- Interprets evaluation results into a comprehensive written report which reflects strengths and challenges to students participation in the educational environment directs program development and guides evidence based intervention.
