Job Title: Functional Testing

Position: Senior Test Engineer

Role: FunctionaTesting with Investment Private Banking

Experience: 7- 9 Years


Direct Responsibilities

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Understanding of structured test methods and processes


. Creation of good quality test scenarios for manual testing reviewing and validating them with BA and inputting in ALM Octane


. Identification on regression scenarios and creation of test cases for these


. Creation and/or verification of test data in SIT environment


. Execution of manual test cases issuing reports (DSR RCA etc.) and sharing with the test manager on a timely manner


. Execution of end-to-end integration testing in collaboration with other applications teams


. Testing effort estimation based on the requirements from BAs PMs.


. Contribute to specification and running of test automation script validating results.


. Contribute to analysis of defects and identification of root cause and pattern.


. Execution of performance test scenarios propose efficient ways to do performance testing.


. Participate and contribute to all Agile rituals of the squad (daily stand-up grooming sprint planning retrospective meetings)


. Reporting to test lead & manager on the test activities progress and data gathering to generate metrics.


. Test delivery (Functional test System integration tests Regression tests)


. UAT tests support process


. Strong in Manual Testing


. Hands on Experience in Automated Testing using Selenium.


Contributing Responsibilities


. Coordinating various upstream or downstream application teams requesting test data and support while execution of test cases


. Automation script development & maintenance knowledge on the automation framework.


. Experience on Selenium/UFT/Postman & HP ALM Octane.





Technical & Behavioral Competencies


Functional . Manual Functional testing with various techniques


. Integration testing with Stubs and Drivers


. System Integration testing


. End to End testing.


. Investment Banking or Private Banking is Mandatory and experience in Wealth Management is a plus.


. Experience with Business process Management Document management is a plus


Automation Hands-on experience in Selenium/UFT and CI/CD tools


Performance Experienced with performance testing.


Hands-on experience with performance test tools such as JMeter is a plus


Middleware Knowledgeable of MQ CFT Batch processing REST APIs





Technical & Behavioral Competencies . Hands on experience on using Unix/Linux and Windows basic commands.


. Hands on experience of developing DB SQL Scripts


. Coordination with various teams on testing activities (understanding application/domain/requirements test cases writing execution and defects).


. Communication skills:


o Good oral & written skills.


o Report promptly (oral and written).


. A good team player with problem-solving attitude.


. Analytical and precise: Capacity to challenge the team and convince based on facts.


. Multi-tasking: ability to accommodate more than one testing at a time for concurrent projects testing.


Testing Tools Hands-on experience with ALM Octane Jira or similar Testing Planning application is mandatory

Experience level . 7 years of overall experience in professional Software Engineering

. Ability to work independently with minimal support.


. Good in identifying issues and bugs in the program.


. Positive attitude knowledge sharing and good team player

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:

Good understanding (conceptual) of trade lifecycle of various derivative products


Hands on experience not necessary but good to have.


Prior experience in regulatory transaction reporting is a plus.
