Based on course content wages will range from $1297.00 per credit to $3753.00 per credit.

In certain instances due to low enrollment faculty payment will be based on part-time per credit pay and pro-rated on a 10% per student basis.

Part-time employees also receive some benefits depending on the number of hours worked.

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Provide effective and high quality instruction in psychology courses.

• Evaluate students course work provide feedback to foster greater student learning and report grades in a timely manner.

• Revise psychology courses to maintain current in pedagogy content and the high standards of the College.

• Design educational methodologies and adopt learning-centered teaching practices to enhance student learning.

• Communicate clearly defined student learning outcomes provide an array of learning activities that are tied to and assess those outcomes and participate in formative and summative assessments of student learning in psychology courses.

• Analyze and utilize assessment data to improve instruction and learning.

• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and participate in professional development activities to further develop and maintain instructional excellence in your field of expertise.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

• Demonstrate a willingness to work as a team member toward the fulfillment of the Colleges Mission Statement Purpose Vision and commitment to Diversity.

• Maintain positive cooperative and professional interpersonal relationships with students faculty staff and administration.

• Perform other department division and/or institutional duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree in the psychological sciences (including all recognized subdisciplines and closely related disciplines such as counseling applied psychology areas like industrial organizational forensic adolescent child adult etc. clinical mental health behavioral economics human sexuality human development and family studies gerontology gender studies comparative behavior clinical social work etc.) OR masters degree including 18 graduate level credits hours from these listed fields. Research publication and other work experience as well as teaching experience as useful for up to three graduate level credit hours of coursework. A candidate who is close to the masters degree and making clear progress may also be considered.
