We are seeking creative dynamic and committed teachers to join our team at Riverview Alternative School. Welcome to Riverview Alternative School (also known as The River) We are a K-6 school and home to over 280 students. Our mantra is Go with the flow! Our school is truly a collaborative creative and compassionate group of educators Office Administrators and support personnel. Riverview has a strong lens on diversity and equity. Our focus is on natured based learning. You will often see our students exploring our beautiful site in rubber boots snowshoes and cross country skis. We pride ourselves on providing safe spaces for all our learners.
Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Boards (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school and the District by creating a positive and inclusive school climate learning and workplace environment. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with a human rights and equity perspective to foster student success achievement and well-being.
All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.

1. At least three (3) teachers who are currently employed as an occasional teacher with the OCDSB and who have the required OCT qualifications and who best meet the criteria outlined in the job posting.
2. If fewer than three (3) qualified applicants apply all qualified applicants will be interviewed.
