Job Summary:
The Service Quality Engineer will be responsible of Xylems Water Solutions & Services (WSS) quality tools processes procedures and initiatives to reduce the Cost Of Poor Quality (COPQ) within the segments service. This role will be responsible for quality assurance and warranty management for our products and services. The incumbent will maintain quality standards drive continuous improvement and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product/service reliability customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance. The Service Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products adhere to quality standards. This position involves conducting detailed quality inspections analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement and developing and implementing quality control plans. The Quality Analyst collaborates with cross functional teams to address quality issues perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.


Responsibilities:

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Maintain systems to evaluate document and ensure quality processes and practices are implemented across WSS service
  • Evaluate theeffectiveness of quality tools processes and practices
  • Support quality systems and certifications established under the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) specifically for Medical Devices FDA ISO 13485:2016 Health Canada and ISO 9001:2015
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality and reduce defect rates
  • Oversee procedures to ensure prompt and effective resolution of warranty claims
  • Implement COPQ control strategies and drive initiatives to extend product reliability and lifecycle
  • Ensure all products and processes meet regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Follow quality programs and systems to support Xylems markets and practices
  • Use data insights to make recommendations for process adjustments and product improvements
  • Assist with maintaining quality control metrics in WSS regional responsibility
  • Perform document control changes and reviews
  • Request investigate and/or review corrective and preventative actions
  • Assist with repairs or troubleshooting when requested in the region of responsibility
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs

Data Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns
Generate reports on quality metrics and performance
Communicate findings and recommendations to management and team members
Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve data accuracy and completeness

Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas of improvement
Monitor and evaluate quality control processes and procedures

Quality Control:
Perform inspections and tests on products materials and processes
Identify and document defects and nonconformities
Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards

Process Improvement:
Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives
Train and educate employees on quality control processes and procedures
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of process improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Quality Management other related fields or
  • 2-3 experience in quality assurance quality control or warranty management
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using quality management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing or related quality certifications
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
