Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Oversee the hiring training and supervision of maintenance staff.
- Manage the departments budget and procurement of parts tools and equipment.
- Plan assign and monitor daily maintenance operations to ensure timely completion of work orders and proper coverage.
- Direct and participate in general maintenance tasks including wall repairs lock replacements lighting painting and equipment installation.
- Maintain the facilitys interior and exterior including landscaping and grounds care.
Training & Development
- Develop and implement preventive predictive and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Lead staff training in-services and quality control initiatives.
- Conduct regular building tours to evaluate work quality and compliance.
Quality Assurance & Safety
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
- Complete and document all required tests and inspections for regulatory compliance.
- Enforce infection control practices and ensure proper use of PPE and tools.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Create and manage the maintenance department budget for cost-effective operations.
- Maintain accurate records of department expenses personnel and supplies.
- Oversee the procurement and inventory of materials and equipment.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as the liaison between residents staff and building administration.
- Communicate operational updates and project timelines to all stakeholders.
Customer & Resident Experience
- Ensure professional courteous and timely service to residents staff and visitors.
- Promote a positive and respectful environment throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 3 years of experience in facility maintenance leadership.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical and plumbing.
- Familiarity with OSHA and life safety code regulations.
- Effective leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing bending and walking for extended periods.
- Must reside within the service area.
