Basic Function: | To develop direct and implement undergraduate or graduate student recruitment and retention strategies for a college or large department. |

Examples of Duties: | Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following: Develop direct and implement recruitment and retention strategies for undergraduate or graduate students; develop strategies for achieving objectives. Collaborate with various university departments and initiatives (i.e. Admissions Office Student Success Programs Academic Engagement and Degree Completion etc.) to maximize the results of student retention and recruitment. Coordinate recruitment for prospective students including setting up tours and events; facilitate connections between prospective students and individual academic units. Coordinate student scholarship awards through collaboration with departments/schools within the college/large department. Consult with prospective students and parents on degree options. Analyze and provide reports by utilizing technology to support recruitment and retention initiatives; collaborate with other units (i.e. Institutional Research Admissions Office etc.). Provide direct supervision of classified and unclassified employee(s) on an ongoing addition supervise graduate assistant(s) and student employee(s). Evaluate and implement changes to assigned programs and initiatives. May provide oversight of academic programs (i.e. Destination Kent State Flashes 101 Early Alert Graduate Programs etc.). May assist in coordinating curriculum activities and developing curriculum. May occasionally advise prospective and/or current students on academic degree requirements recommends a course of action regarding academic and career goals grade point averages course substitutions and equivalencies. Serve on department division and university committees. Serve as the liaison to various constituent groups. Perform related duties as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Masters degree from an accredited university or college in a relevant field of study. Three years higher education administrative experience. License/Certification: Knowledge Of: Personal computer applications Skill In: Written and interpersonal communication * Ability To: Provide academic counseling |
