We are looking to add a passionate and dedicatedFront End Developer to our team in Bucharest!

About the job:

You are part of the UX Matrix department the department that manages everything related to the front-end: from some banners or the need for a logo to a fully functional cutting-edge online casino. You will be working mainly with JavaScript and JS frameworks / libraries Webpack / Vite and NodeJS using HTTP2 and Web Sockets APIs as the transfer protocols between the server and the client. We deploy containerized apps via Docker Kubernetes and a continuous delivery pipeline. Its an exciting product (especially for us and hopefully for you) and were looking for people who are ready to face a challenge analyse existing functionality and transform and adapt it into something great using the latest stack of Web technologies. Youll be part of one of the core development teams working on our proprietary React-based (at time mentioned) framework and also a cool project built on top of AngularJS (at time mentioned) both aimed at efficiently delivering white-label websites. Your work will involve tackling intricate challenges such as scalability and performance driving innovation and significantly impacting the direction and quality of the platform.

What Youll get to do:

Development:

• Adhering to pre-established task delivery deadlines;
• Estimating the development time for assigned tasks;
• Implementing assigned tasks as closely as possible to the previously provided estimation;
• Testing implemented tasks on all necessary devices and popular browsers preventing reoccurrence of tasks and incidents in production;
• Adding development time spent on tasks in Jira.

Code quality:

• Understanding the standards that are enforced by the coding guide and keep compliant with them.
• You are a promoter of clean code and help more junior colleagues do the same through code reviews and feedback.

Code review:

• You are actively involved in code reviews.
• You make sure that all coding standards are followed and that the submitter understands completely not only what to modify but why to do the changes that are required.

Refactoring:

• Easily understand the existing code in the project and can identify the need for refactoring.
• Scalability stability and performance
• Implement improvements and provide solutions or alternatives to enhance the scalability of projects.
• Measure application performance and consistently write code with performance optimization in mind.
• Develop solutions and tools to improve app performance ensuring they meet agreed standards

Code documentation:

• Document your work and how it affects the entire project (when applicable).
• You add comments in code according to standards / readme.
• You always keep your documentation up to date.

Operational:

• You can handle incidents according to the defined SLAs and project processes (the complexity refers to system/platform complexity technical solution complexity or business knowledge).

Communication:

• Contributing to best practices knowledge sharing and application within the project; maintaining close collaboration with other team members as well as the responsible Product Owner/Project Manager;
• Participating in daily meetings with the team and discuss/identify both issues and solutions to resolve them;
• Collect structure and analyze information;
• Ensure other team members have access to the collected information; provide assistance to testing and support teams in resolving any technical issues; knowledge about how to share knowledge in many forms: feedback presentations recommendation of books and articles recommendation of events lessons learned etc.

Time tracking:

• Estimate and keep track of the amount of time spent on each task and log it using the official company tools.

What You need to shine:

• Three to five years previous experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Vanilla JavaScript / HTML / CSS.
• Proven experience in creating fast performing interfaces using JS frameworks and libraries such as (but not limited to): ReactJS / AngularJS / VueJS /
• Proven experience with REST web services and/or web APIs.
• Basic knowledge of OOP and Data Access / Management.
• Passion for learning and perfecting skills.
• Ability to work in a Kanban system with fast switching priorities.
• Good English both written and spoken.
• Experience with all stages of software development lifecycle.
• Ability to concentrate.
• Ability to understand technical architecture.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Analytical thinking.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Adapt to a fast-changing environment / to be able to provide solutions for improved workflow.
• Open to giving and receiving feedback.
• Self-sufficient.
