Interventional Radiology Technologist (Day Shift)
- Location: Pflugerville TX 78660
- Shift: 8-hr Days 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Job Type: Permanent
- Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
- Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs interventional radiology procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients under the supervision of a Radiologist. These procedures requested by a physician or licensed provider are conducted to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries in accordance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist radiologists during interventional procedures ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and maintain interventional radiology equipment and sterile instruments.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses during procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation.
- Follow radiation safety protocols for patients staff and self.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Previous experience in Interventional Radiology.
- Willing to consider Radiologic Technologists with a strong general radiology background and interest in cross-training.
Certification/Licensure:
- Required:
- ARRT Radiography Certification (ARRT-R)
- Must obtain within 2 years of hire (at least one of the following):
- ARRT-VI (Vascular Interventional Radiography)
- ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Radiography)
- ARRT-CV (Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography)
