Position Summary:
The Sit Down Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a sit-down forklift to move locate relocate stack and count merchandise or materials within the warehouse or production area. The operator ensures all products are handled and stored according to company safety standards and production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a sit-down forklift to load unload move and stack materials or products.
Transport goods between storage areas production lines and shipping/receiving docks.
Inspect forklift daily and report any mechanical or safety issues immediately.
Maintain organized and accurate inventory through proper labeling and placement.
Follow all safety rules regulations and company policies.
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed including picking packing and shipping.
Keep work areas clean and free from hazards.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.
Qualifications:
Experience: 12 years of forklift operation experience preferred.
Certification: Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one prior to start.
Skills:
Strong attention to safety and detail.
Ability to operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic understanding of warehouse inventory systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
Ability to sit for long periods and perform repetitive movements.
Tolerance for working in varying warehouse conditions (temperature noise etc.).
Schedule and amp; Pay:
Shift: 1st 2nd or 3rd shift
Pay Range: $18-$19/hr
