Job Summary
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Repair Welder to perform welding fabrication and repair work on metal components equipment and structures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills the ability to read blueprints or repair specifications and a commitment to producing high-quality durable welds in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on damaged or worn metal parts assemblies and equipment.
Utilize MIG TIG and/or Stick welding techniques as required by the repair.
Inspect and assess parts or structures to determine repair methods.
Read and interpret blueprints schematics or work orders.
Operate grinders torches saws and other metalworking tools as needed.
Perform cutting fitting and alignment to ensure proper part assembly.
Conduct quality checks to ensure repaired items meet safety and performance standards.
Maintain tools equipment and work area in a clean safe condition.
Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with other fabrication or maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training in welding preferred.
2 years of welding and repair experience (industrial structural or heavy equipment preferred).
Proficient in MIG TIG Stick and/or flux core welding processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.
Skilled in using measuring tools such as calipers micrometers and tape measures.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) a plus.
