Job Summary
Caruso is a family owned 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat and pre-cut produce sandwiches salads and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores all over the USA.
We are looking for an experienced Class A Driver in Cincinnati OH to drive a Class A Dump Trailer or Tractor Trailer. Manual experience required.
- Dump Trailer Route: 6am-8am pick up Monday-Friday with Saturdays as needed going to South Solon OH or Mt Sterling OH.
- Occasional Tractor Trailer Route: 8am-1pm pick up going to Delaware OH Columbus OH Louisville KY Lexington KY Shelbyville IN Indianapolis IN or Fort Wayne IN with local city runs.
Must have at least 9 months of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
Responsibilities:
- Transport goods to and from manufacturing plant to other divisions.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items safety issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Meet Delivery schedules.
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects accidents or violations.

Requirements:
1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
2. Must have Class A License.
3. Must have at least 9 months of verifiable Class A experience in the last 3 years and able to drive a manual.
4. Must have a good driving record with none of the following violations:
- Reckless driving
- DUI/OMVI
- Hit and Run
- Excessive Speed as defined by DOT (15 miles over)
- No Preventable Accidents. No more than 2 moving violations within the last 24 months.
5. Ability to work and drive in all types of weather.
6. Ability to read interpret and apply laws rules regulations policies and procedures.
7. Excellent and prompt attendance each day scheduled.
8. Experience with refrigerated products and previous route delivery is a plus.
