Position Overview
Were seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to produce precision components in a clean climate-controlled shop. The Manual Machinist will perform full setups create custom workholding and verify part quality to tight tolerances while collaborating with a team that values craftsmanship and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual mills and lathes (including Bridgeport).
Perform complete setups and create custom workholding for unique parts.
Read blueprints/drawings and apply tolerances to meet specifications.
Measure with micrometers calipers gauges; complete first-article/self-inspection.
Machine high-mix low-volume parts with consistency and efficiency.
Troubleshoot machining challenges and propose solutions.
Maintain a clean organized and safe workspace (5S & safety standards).
What You Bring
Proven manual machining experience on mills and lathes.
Strong blueprint reading measurement and inspection skills.
Ability to plan operations and work independently on one-off parts.
High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
Stand bend and move throughout the shift; lift up to 70 lbs (use lifting aids as needed).
