The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADoN) is a Registered Nurse who works part time and shares the responsibility for taking all reasonable steps to ensure a high quality of care is delivered to the residents. The ADoN also shares the responsibility toward creating an environment that individualizes each residents care. The ADoN has administrative responsibility and is held accountable for functions and activities of the nursing staff. These functions and activities should also integrate with the departments in the facility that contribute to resident care. The ADoN must perform all the duties and responsibilities outlined below using available resources to assist in effectively attaining the highest well-being possible for each resident.
The ADoN must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri and must remain in good standing with the Missouri Board of Nursing. The ADoN must maintain his/her nursing license in current status and provide evidence of renewal as required by policy and procedure.
The ADoN will share the on call with the DoN.
