SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Quality Manager reports to the Plant Manager and has full responsibility for the sites quality organization and systems. This role has a significant impact on customer satisfaction operational efficiency and regularly interacts with global quality leadership production engineering supply chain as well as customers to ensure alignment of quality objectives.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Lead mentor and develop a team of quality technicians to achieve department and plant goals.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports.
- Coordinate daily quality operations including incoming inspection in-process and final product verification.
- Implement and maintain built-in quality systems to ensure quality is integrated into all stages of production.
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities to resolve product or process issues.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvements in product quality process capability and customer satisfaction.
- Interface directly with customers regarding quality concerns and product performance.
- Collaborate with the quality function of other sites to share best practices.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including procedures control plans and inspection standards.
- Own monitor and analyze key quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Promote and exhibit all Company core values.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelors degree in science or engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Results oriented leader with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to handle concurrent problems and prioritize effectively
- Strong experience with root cause analysis problem-solving and corrective action methodologies (8D 5-Why Fishbone).
- Demonstrated experience implementing built-in quality systems and process control strategies (poka-yoke layered process audits FMEA control plans SPC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the company to customers professionally.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time squat bend twist and turn as needed to perform the job.
