Job Summary

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Quality Manager reports to the Plant Manager and has full responsibility for the sites quality organization and systems. This role has a significant impact on customer satisfaction operational efficiency and regularly interacts with global quality leadership production engineering supply chain as well as customers to ensure alignment of quality objectives.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Lead mentor and develop a team of quality technicians to achieve department and plant goals.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all direct reports.
  • Coordinate daily quality operations including incoming inspection in-process and final product verification.
  • Implement and maintain built-in quality systems to ensure quality is integrated into all stages of production.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities to resolve product or process issues.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvements in product quality process capability and customer satisfaction.
  • Interface directly with customers regarding quality concerns and product performance.
  • Collaborate with the quality function of other sites to share best practices.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation including procedures control plans and inspection standards.
  • Own monitor and analyze key quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote and exhibit all Company core values.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelors degree in science or engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Results oriented leader with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to handle concurrent problems and prioritize effectively
  • Strong experience with root cause analysis problem-solving and corrective action methodologies (8D 5-Why Fishbone).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing built-in quality systems and process control strategies (poka-yoke layered process audits FMEA control plans SPC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the company to customers professionally.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time squat bend twist and turn as needed to perform the job.
