Our premises are within the Purdys Wharf complex which provides amenities such as an on-site daycare and fitness centre. Our office is connected to the downtown pedway system and situated on Halifaxs beautiful waterfront providing easy access to ferry and bus transit hubs banks restaurants and shopping.

The opportunity

Working collaboratively within the Pensions division and reporting to the Manager Project Services the Associate Project Managers core responsibilities include; leading small to medium Pensions division projects representing the Pensions division on corporate initiatives and broader technology projects; co-manage vendor relations and management for the divisions pension administration system; and working collaboratively with the Manager Project Services and divisional colleagues in onboarding new Plan entrants.

What you need to be successful

A post-secondary degree in Commerce Business Administration or a related field plus a minimum of five (5) years related experience in pension benefits insurance or related industries. Relevant experience includes; pension system experience internal and external customer service business process analysis and improvement project leadership training risk and issue management and employer onboarding. An acceptable combination of education training and related experience may be considered.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

Job Status: Permanent Full Time; unionized (NSGEU)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $3130.71 - $3665.04 (bi-weekly)
