The Events Management Intern at Road Scholar will assist Road Scholars Senior Events Specialist in expanding Road Scholars presence at Senior Expos across the United States helping spread brand awareness and build our database of new contacts to pursue our organizational mission of lifelong learning.

Road Scholar offers a remote internship for the spring semester January 12 2026 - May 8 2026. Applications will be accepted through November 14 2025.

In this internship you will

  • Research events and gather data on potential new markets for the Road Scholar demographic to build a strategic event calendar
  • Recruit and train Ambassadors to participate in events
  • Plan and order event materials and manage event logistics
  • Measure success using data collected from event attendees
  • Review data collected at events and use insights to make future recommendations

You will learn or practice

  • How to develop strong relationships with volunteers and vendors
  • How to plan and execute trade show appearances keeping sustainability in mind
  • How to evaluate events through data analysis and research
  • How to juggle different projects and tasks and prioritize

You may be perfect for this role if you are

  • A junior or senior at an accredited college or university majoring in Public Relations or Communications
  • A people person passionate about working with others and building relationships
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • An independent diligent self-motivated multi-tasker
  • Adept at doing research with the ability to present results in a clear and concise way

Internship Details

This 14-16 week internship runs during the Spring semester between January 12 2026 and May 8 2026 with some flexibility depending on your school schedule. The internship is remote 20 hours/week with flexible weekly schedule during business hours. A flat stipend of $3840.00 is paid for this internship. The stipend is paid at 50% halfway through the internship and the other 50% after successful completion of the internship. College credit where applicable.
