Job Summary

At Koops our interns are trusted team members who gain valuable hands-on experience in the automation industry. As a Manufacturing Intern youll have the opportunity to work on either the Machine Build Team or the Machining Team depending on your interests and Koops availability. This role is designed to give students practical exposure to automation equipment precision machining and real-world manufacturing environments.

Internship Opportunities

Machine Builder

Plan and prepare for machine builds
Assist in assembly of custom automation systems (mechanical electrical and pneumatic)
Work with engineering prints and CAD files
Gain customer-site experience
Support shop organization and clean-up

Machinist

Perform metal cutting and deburring
Work from engineering prints and CAD files
Operate Bridgeport mills and other machining equipment
Support shop organization and clean-up

Requirements

Full-time engineering student who has enrolled in or planning to enroll in an engineering program
Student enrolled in or planning to enroll in a trades program
Ability to work onsite in Saginaw MI for the duration of the internship
