Registered Nurse Immunisation

Are you a passionate Registered Nurse committed to improving health outcomes for tamariki Māori Hauraki Primary Health Care/Te Puna Hauora Matua o Hauraki is seeking a dedicated nurse to support the delivery of the Immunising Our Tamariki programmea whānau-centred initiative contributing to the national target of 95% of tamariki fully immunised by 24 months of age.
About the Role
Youll work across the Hauraki/Waikato region engaging directly with whānau and communities to deliver safe timely and culturally responsive immunisation services. This role is vital in reducing barriers to immunisation and increasing access for tamariki Māori. Youll collaborate closely with a Kaiāwhina Immunisation and other health providers to ensure whānau are supported with accurate information and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver scheduled immunisations in general practice and community outreach settings.
- Engage with whānau of under-immunised tamariki Māori to support timely vaccinations.
- Provide empathetic culturally responsive education around immunisation.
- Build strong relationships with iwi Māori health providers and community organisations.
- Ensure accurate reporting and contribute to service quality improvement.
WE are looking for someone who has
- Registered Nurse Qualification
- Vaccinator Qualification
- Primary Care Nursing experience
- Full NZ drivers licence and willingness to travel
- Experience working with Māori communities and a commitment to equity
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
